Welcome to my home page!

I am currently a postdoctoral fellow in Lieber research group at Harvard University. I received my Ph.D. from Cornell University with Prof. Frank DiSalvo in 2002. I will start as an assistant professor in Department of Chemistry at University of Wisconsin at Madison before the fall of 2004.

My postdoctoral research activity under the direction of Prof. Charlie Lieber has involved the synthesis, hierarchical assembly, fabrication and characterization of semiconductor nanowire based nanoelectronics. During my graduate research at Cornell under the supervision of Prof. Frank J. DiSalvo, I studied the synthesis and characterization of extended-network structures and nanoscopic inorganic-organic composite materials based on Group VI octahedral metal clusters. The latter part of the projects were in collaboration with Prof. Jean M. J. Frechet (UC Berkeley) and Prof. Dotsevi Sogah through the generous support of the Cornell Center for Material Research (CCMR).

Besides sciences, I like classical music, photography, and reading. Both my wife, Ying, and I enjoy travel very much, so be sure to check out my gallery for photos taken in Cambridge, Ithaca, Beijing, and all over the planet (well, not quite yet).

This webpage contains more information for my graduate life as I have not updated it very much in the last couple of years. Nonetheless, enjoy your visit!

For those of you directed to this page from the UW Madison webpage, please check the UW Madison page again later, as I will have a real faculty page coming up soon. (06/04/2004)
